Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington has entered a residential treatment facility in an effort to quell the controversy surrounding his anti-gay remarks — and save his job, Life & Style has learned exclusively.
According to an insider, Isaiah, who issued an apology for his statements on Jan. 18, agreed to undergo a psychological assessment after talks with ABC executives.
And in a statement released today, Isaiah, confirms this saying, “With the support of my family and friends, I have begun counseling. I regard this as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again. I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally.”
Isaiah, who plays Dr. Preston Burke on the show, became embroiled in controversy for making a homophobic remark about Grey’s castmate T.R. Knight during an on-set argument last fall. (T.R., 33, publicly announced that he is gay after the incident.) The controversy reignited after the Jan. 15 Golden Globe Awards, at which Isaiah denied ever making the comment — but used the anti-gay slur in his denial. “ABC has told him he must enter a program to examine why he would say such hateful words,” the insider says. Los Angeles-based Deadlee has used the announcement of The HomoRevolution Tour 2007 - billed as the first ever organised tour of gay, lesbian and bisexual rap and hip-hop artists - to share his true feelings on some of the biggest names in rap.
Deadlee, real name JOSEPH LEE, objects to frequent references to “faggots” and “homo thugs” in DMX’s music.
He tells AllHipHop.com, “I find it crazy when his videos are very homoerotic.
All the guys kicking it with their shirts off!” And he slams 50 Cent for telling Playboy in April 2004, “I don’t like gay people around me, because I’m not comfortable with what their thoughts are.” Deadlee fumes, “F**k him. JARED LETO attacked ELIJAH WOOD at an awards show last year (06), because THE LORD OF THE RINGS star had told friends he didn’t like Leto’s band. The site offers customer the chance to own photographs of Paris, home videos, diaries, love letters, recorded phone conversations and phone numbers of friends and celebrities.
However, the 25-year-old heiress is determined to stop the sale of her private belongings.
Her representative Elliot Mintz said: “We certainly are going to explore all of our legal options about this matter.” The personal items were sold to an unidentified buyer after a third party failed to make rental payments for the facility, and have now become the property of a broker aiming to sell them.
Users of ParisExposed.com must pay a monthly fee of $39.97 to gain access to the site, which promises video footage of the socialite in a “sexy bubble bath”.

A defiant Anna Nicole Smith yesterday refused to give up DNA samples for her baby’s court-ordered paternity test after sending her ex-lover F-word laced instant messages saying she’ll cooperate “in your dreams.”
Smith’s ex-boyfriend, photographer Larry Birkhead, says he is baby Dannielynn’s dad.

But Smith says her longtime lawyer, Howard K. Stern, fathered the child, who was born in September in Nassau, Bahamas.

“She used the F-word and she told Larry she’s not going to do it. She said she has no intention of obeying this judge’s order,” said Birkhead’s lawyer, Debra Opri.

Opri said she will seek to have the buxom blond model, who now lives in the Bahamas, found in contempt of court, a move that could lead to her arrest if she reenters the U.S. “She’ll pay the piper sooner or later,” Opri said.

On the eve of the DNA deadline, Birkhead instant-messaged Smith urging her to “do the right thing.”

Smith shot back “u wish” and “in your dreams,” Opri said.

Judge Robert Schneider’s order required both Smith and the baby to submit saliva samples to lab techs hired by Birkhead by Jan. 23. The techs went to Nassau to collect the mouth swabs, but she didn’t show up at the location.

When the check came, she reached for her bag and he reached for his wallet. She, however, pulled out a lipstick while he grabbed the bill. Here’s what ‘Stomp The Yard’ star COLUMBUS SHORT had to say about the whole “cheating on the wife with Britney SPEARS thing” back in 2004 when it happened.

“It’s true I slept with Britney, [but] we never had sex because another person was in the room at the time. We shared a bed and were really close, kissing and hugging. The chemistry was magical … our feelings were so strong.”

In an earnest, new video message posted on his Web site, Keith Urban thanks everyone from his wife Nicole Kidman to his loyal fans for supporting him during his 90-day stint in rehab.

The country singer, who entered rehab on Oct. 19, says, “I just wanted to take a moment to talk a little bit about the last three months,” he says in the video on www.keithurban.net. “I checked into the Betty Ford Center with the support of my family and my wife for what I thought was going to be a 30-day stay…There were lot of small things that were happening in my life, a lot of small moments that were starting to accumulate, that were telling me very loud and clear that I was a long way from my program of recovery — and that were making my life unmanageable…With each week that past, I found myself learning how to surrender.”

Keith, dressed casually in a button-down shirt, said especially of Nicole, “My wife stayed extraordinarily strong and loving.

“I had amazing support while I was there. I felt very loved and supported. I never felt alone…I got cards, letters, and hundreds of emails. It helped through the lonely days. I started to learn a lot about myself and how I got to be in this position that I’m in right now. It’s been one of the most impactful times in my life.

“It feels really good to have gone through it, and to be where I am now because where I am now is starting on that road to getting to do what I love, which is playing music. From the bottom of my heart, thank you and god bless.”

Angelina Jolie and son Maddox spent more than $700 on a shower last Friday afternoon.

Sources say the two made a pit (no pun intended) stop at Shutters On the Beach Hotel in Santa Monica and booked a room for just two hours so they could shower and freshen up.

“Angelina said they only wanted the room for two hours — time enough for them both to take a shower,” says a source. “She was very sweet and seemed like a concerned mom. It was just very bizarre, when she and Brad own two houses here in Los Angeles, that she would need to spend that kind of money on a hotel room just so she and Maddox could shower.”

Even Paris Hilton’s droopy eye seemed to sparkle after avoiding any serious ramifications from her recent DUI arrest.

After pleading no contest in court today to the lesser charge of alcohol-related reckless driving, Hilton, 25, avoided jail time or any serious penalties.

“She was ordered to pay a fine, attend a 12 hour driver’s education class and placed on summary probation for 36 months. We believe this was an appropriate resolution given the facts in this matter and both sides’ desire to avoid a trial on the original charges,” Hilton’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman, tells Us.

The judge gave Hilton, was who was not in court but was represented by her lawyers, the option of reducing her probation to 24 months if she completed 40 hours of community service.

Apparently someone in this world can picture Paris doing actual work that may involve picking up trash or interacting with normal people.

Besides several other conditions, the judge also ordered the heiress to attend an alcohol rehabilitation program.

The Associated Press reports that her publicist, Elliot Mintz, said he spoke with her after the proceeding and said that “she was happy the matter is over.”

Hilton was arrested September 7 after her Mercedes-Benz was allegedly weaving on a Hollywood street. She claims that she was at a charity event and had only one margarita on an empty stomach, and she may have been “speeding a little bit” afterwards on her way to In-N-Out for a burger.

As her Jan 23 deadline arrives for the DNA test to establish the paternity of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby, TMZ has learned Smith’s lawyers are furiously working to halt the test.

Sources tell TMZ that Smith’s lawyers are now arguing that the order requiring the test was never brought before a Bahamian judge. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered the test, but Smith’s lawyers now say it’s not binding until a Bahamian judge gives it a stamp of approval.

Sources also tell TMZ that Anna Nicole’s lawyers are trying to block the test on grounds that the United States DNA lab hired by Larry Birkhead, the man claiming to be the father of little Dannielynn, cannot legally administer the test because its technicians don’t have work permits for the Bahamas.

Despite her public statements that she has nothing to hide, Ms. Smith is going to great lengths to block the DNA test.
